Quote of the Day

From Joan Peterson of the Brady Campaign and the Million Mom March:

Well, I have a hard time taking anyone seriously who thinks ( and then boasts about) having a bolt action rifle that can penetrate a police officer’s vest at 400 yards. What’s that all about? Why? Are you planning to kill a police officer? And a plastic framed gun? Why? Do you plan to try to get it through security when boarding a plane? And then what? And the fact that you admit to carrying a loaded deadly weapon says it all. We will differ on this one and I don’t take your position seriously

Hop over to Sean’s Blog to see what Joan is squawking about.

On a related note Bob has a similar post to Joan’s goal-post moving behavior. She’s pointing out she’s not 100% Anti-Gun, so it can’t be said she favors gun BANS….but of course Bob and Sean both point out all the guns she WOULD ban. But Joan is trying to say that because she’s 99% Anti-Gun, she has “Common Sense” and we should trust her judgment, despite obvious ignorance, and open lying and dishonesty.

But do you REALLY think any gun would be safe under an Absolute Rule of Joan Peterson, or any of the groups she belongs to?

No, they’re still playing the same game they played in 1994, which was the high-point of their bigoted anti-rights movement. They convinced people with their bolt-action hunting rifles (which can penetrate Police soft armor, even at extended ranged) that they weren’t coming after their guns. They convinced the people with shotguns (which are lead bullet-hoses capable of spraying deadly shot) that they weren’t coming after their guns. They convinced the people who kept a 1911 or an old S&W Model 10 in their sock drawer, or who had a carry permit that they weren’t coming after their guns. And they succeeded….but not for long.

Sorry Hon, we woke up. You ARE coming after our guns, and the more you say you aren’t, the more you expose yourself for the liar that you are.

Oh and Sean, that 13-shot Plastic-Framed .45 of yours looks friggin’ awesome. I would love one for a nightstand gun if I didn’t live in Massachusetts!

  1. Can’t you get the 10 round version? I carry 10+1 with the 13 as a spare mag.

  2. Kevin H. says:

Nah, Glock can’t get the trigger pulls heavy enough to get approval on the Mass AG’s double blind list.

    • Weerd Beard says:

Nope Glocks are 100% Mass Compliant…and our AG still said they were “Unsafe” (no reason given) Glocks were sold for a few months, then recalled.

You can still get Glocks that were in-state before the “Safety Roster”, and you can buy all the 10-Round or less mags, or get pre-94 mags.

As for the XD, Springfield saw the Glock bullshit and told the AG to go fuck himself, so the only XDs legally in-state are guns brought in by people moving in-state, and those guns can only be transferred in private sale, or sold out of the state.

As for the XD’s freaky-deaky kinda-sorta SAO trigger I doubt that would EVER be Mass approved anyway. But hopefully such bullshit will go out the window when the California Roster gets chucked thanks to Alan Gura!
