That Was Festive

So I grabbed Dead Snow on Netflix Instant view.

Now I had seen the Origonal Nazi Zombie Flic and it sucked ass. Also happened to be that it was a damaged disk that I’d gotten as a hand-me-down, so eventually we got sick of watching skipping film that I hucked it in the trash. That being said, what I saw was Uber-Lame!

Dead Snow is anything but! Its a great mix of Horror, Action, Gore, Comedy, and scenic cinematography. Oh, and did I mention Nazi Zombies?

Downsides is I generally think a good Zombie film is all about the characters with the zombies as a foil, this film the people are thinner characters (tho hardly Twilight Two-Dimensional) but without too much spoilers, the Nazi Zombies seem to have a LOT more character.

Also Sometimes the comedy bordered on absurd. Still I enjoyed the shit out of Dead Snow, and I highly recommend. Also the whole film is shot in Norwegian which is kind of an interesting language to listen to, as most of my Foreign Films are French, German, Chinese, and Japanese.

Go watch it, and if you don’t have Netflix instant view go get that too!

I refuse to run viruses masquerading as Operating Systems on my computers and I could probably run their “Instant View” software under OS X or Win emulation like I do with browsers for testing compatibility of coding, but it would be encouraging them to ignore/discriminate against the people that run real operating systems and I refuse to do that just like I don’t contribute to the Nazi Party and SPLC because I don’t like bigots.

Just because I could run something under emulation, doesn’t mean I will, because when I run stuff under win/mac emulation I’m doing it to earn money, not so I can give money to BIGOTS.

Told you it was good :). A few of the deaths were a little overboard, and the ending was a foregone conclusion from the explanation, but as zombie movies go, it is definitely towards the upper half.

And, really, the outhouse scene was kind of priceless ;).
