So a week after the election there’s no need to hide reality.
The Raytheon Co. is laying off employees just days after Gov. Deval Patrick denied asking the company to delay terminations until after the state elections….The Associated Press asked Patrick three days before the election if he’d heard about pending layoffs at Raytheon. He said it was just a rumor.
He bristled when asked if he requested Raytheon delay any terminations, saying the company was adding jobs.
On Tuesday, the Raytheon spokesman denied that Patrick asked the company to delay any layoffs.
Nope they just happened to discover, and decide how to handle those problems inside of a week. Makes perfect sense!
Oh and now that Uncle-Sugar is on for another 4 years, Christmas is canceled!
The program — which offered Massachusetts residents between $50 and $250 rebates for replacing clunker appliances with energy savers — involved paperwork so complex that officials with the Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs just last month sent out the final rebate checks to consumers.
Officials had promised to hold a second round this year, but won’t be offering another exchange until 2011.
Wanna make bets how good those promises will be come December next year?
Hey, I have no problem with this wasteful program being scrapped…but let’s face it, these jerks got re-elected because they said they’d fix the jobs market, and keep the bread and circuses running. Good for them!

Federal workers earning $150,000 or more make up 3.9 percent of the government workforce, up from 0.4 percent in 2005, according to analysis of Office of Personnel Management data by USA Today. The percentages represent a tenfold increase in the past five years and have doubled since President Obama took office.
