When the wife and I are shopping and we look at an item we have a coupon for and we either decide that its not that great-a-deal, not the item we were looking for, or is going to expire soon, and we don’t have room or need for the item NOW.
We tuck the coupon by the item, so maybe somebody passing by might make use of it.
We call this activity “The Coupon Faerie”. 😀
I call that “littering!”

Well the expired ones just get dropped on various shelves. I guess that IS indeed littering.

We have saved a few bucks thanks to other people doing that, and hope to have helped others out too :).

I normally keep all the coupons until they expire and then stuff them in the SASE I get from credit card companies and mail it back.
