The report, released Tuesday, showed a 13% increase over 2009 in violent crimes committed against people because of their perceived or actual sexual orientation, gender identity or status as HIV positive, according to the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs.
Last year’s homicide count reached 27, up from 22 in 2009, and was the second-highest total since the coalition began tracking such crimes in 1996. Of those killed, 70% were minorities and 44% were transgender women.
This is a big deal! If you are LGBT you need to take your safety seriously. Take some personal defense classes! Get your carry permit. If you live in one of those super-friendly LGBT areas where buying and carrying a gun is a flaming pain in the ass (no pun intended…OK maybe a little pun) you need to think about how you got there.
Yeah the Republicans had a LOT of prominent members who are making homophobia and being discriminatory to LGBT people as some sort of bigoted feather in their hat.
But come on, what have the Democrats done for you?

Unfortunately, DADT is going away for real just in time for Obrother to be able to wave it around like a victory flag in his campaigns. Just as he planned, I’m sure.
If it happens He’ll deserve that feather in his cap.
That being said, I think we all know that Obama thinks about as highly about the gays as he does about the Whites and the Jews.
But its good if he can set aside his hatred to do some good.
Well, of course they need to be Armed! And so do Blacks, Jews, Latinos, Indians, Whites, Handicapped, the Elderly……
Don’t forget fatties, and attractive people! And whoever else has yet to be called! 😉
