Amy Winehouse Dead. No cause of death listed yet, but I’ll give you two guesses and the first one doesn’t count.
I must say, the songs I heard of hers (in the studio where they could keep her from being twisted out of her mind on whatever shit she wanted to pack into her once-pretty now hideous body) were quite amazing. Also neat to hear a Brit sing soul music.
Still it seems her entire public life has been a battle with the junk, with little concern for cleaning up, so this appears to have been Amy’s plan all along.
Interesting note she was 27, which adds her name to the mythological “27 Club”
Too bad, but its their talent, who am I to say they can’t waste it?
Yeah, I had no reaction. Meh. It was like saying water is wet. I’m only surprised it didn’t happen sooner.
I can honestly say that I’ve never heard of her before. But yeah, sounds like a wreck waiting to happen, so I guess this is what she wanted.
Since this doesn’t seem to have been a Gun Death [tm], there’s no reason for anyone to take any interest in Ms. Winehouse’s demise, although commonsense drug control laws (waiting periods, background checks and the like) would have gone a long way towards preventing her death.
After all, who really needs illegal recreational drugs? You can’t hunt with them!* 😉
*I suppose you could use animal tranquilizer darts for something resembling hunting (though I’d rather not eat any meat from any animal taken in this manner), but I’m not aware of any large-scale recreational use of said darts.
England has a VERY low “Gun Death” rate, and that includes Ms. Winehouse!
