Appears to be the real-deal and currently used on IDF tanks, and with plans to be fielded on US Stryker Vehicles.
From the stories I hear from current combat vets seems that IEDs and RPGs are the two biggest threats against troops. This will help one of those.
I think it’s cool that the futuristic technologies that we’ve had in movies and video games is coming true. I hope they’ll be able to implement this in aircraft as well, this system could have prevented that Chinook from being shot down recently.
Yep, works good 🙂 ALL of the tanks/Strykers/etc. are vulnerable to a top down attk, and this does mitigate that!
