Glad We Have To Sign for Sinus Meds…

Found this story.

A woman has been arrested for attempting to make methamphetamine inside a Walmart store using chemicals she was “too broke to buy”….”She didn’t have the money to make the purchases of the chemicals that were needed so she was taking what was needed in the bottle,” Officer David Shelby told Fox 23.

The only injury was to an officer who received minor injuries when the chemicals in the bottle burned his hand.

Halfmoon was arrested last month in a meth-manufacturing sting. She was released just two days before her Walmart arrest.

So no word in the story if she had all the right stuff for meth in her little caustic bottle, but still, isn’t it nice that we have to go through all this bullshit to buy sinus medication to STOP people from making meth, and I suspect she was using this method which is all sorts of reacting chemicals cooking in a sealed bottle, which runs a high risk of a dangerous explosion…think about that in a Wal Mart!

Also I must throw the “Bad Justice” tag in there, because she had JUST got out of jail for making meth. Good job, revolving door system!

Can we just call the War on Drugs a defeat and move on with our lives? These creeps will always be able to cook and acquire this shit. I’ll just say we don’t see the massive deaths from drinking bad bathtub gin, or attempting to strain sterno that you saw in Prohibition ages. You also don’t see the organized crime rings, and gang violence over the distribution of booze.

You think legalizing drugs will cause problems? Well look at the problems we HAVE!

  1. Not to mention that wal-mart is both “accessory before the fact” and arguably had “constructive possession” of the meth before it was made. After all, they seemed to have all the household items needed.

The article doesn’t say who got stuck with the toxic disposal bill.

Here’s a fun fact. Back in prohibition many of the deaths from people drinking hooch was due to chemicals the goverment forced to be added to industrial booze. They knew people were drinking the stuff and that the addatives would kill them, but that was deliberate, for their own good you see.

Slate had an article on it a while back.

The book that Slate article is drawn from, “The Poisoner’s Handbook”, is a terrific book, by the way. I recommend it to anyone who has an interest in true crime and/or forensic chemistry.
