GOOD!

The Republican party chairman, Michael Steele – the first African-American to hold the post, was ignominiously pushed out of office today after a two-year tenure dogged by controversy and debts.

Good Michael Steel was a Bush Apologist and the Authoritarian Republican that the country doesn’t need. As a general rule Authoritarians, left or right are bad news, and I’ll point out that overall President Obama isn’t all that different from President Bush.

Let’s hope for a better chair, but I’m not holding my breath.

As a liberal (for a lot of issues), I concur.

Steele was a great Republican for Maryland. Wish he had worked to get elected again here.

Oh, no, he is not the ideal GOP type, but he could get elected in Maryland and may be the best we can hope for here. He wouldn’t move the ball far down the field for our side, but he would move it. Sorta a Scott Brown-esque guy for us. Better than a Kennedy clone.

I wonder if Nancy Pelosi will move back to Baltimore after she retires in 2012?

You know as I was reading that I was thinking of Scott Brown. I really like him as my Senator, and I don’t think I’d mind him as a Governor, but I do NOT want him on any position where he represents the interests of anybody but New Englanders, because that’s pretty much his one trick. Anywhere else he’d just be yet another whishy-washy RINO.

What takes courage and backbone HERE is just spineless drivel in the rest of America.
