Nearly 15 years after Marlene “Dickie” Downing was strangled and stabbed to death in her Stuyvesant Avenue home, her killer has admitted his guilt.
Gordon Foley, 35, formerly of Parkside Avenue in Trenton, pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in the 1996 death of the single mom. Under the terms of his plea deal, Foley is slated to be sentenced to 26 years in prison.
That would have made a difference, right?
