Reading the anti-rights nuts talking about adding the “Terrorist Watch List” to the NICS system to deny people the right to buy or own guns.
How about this. All FFLs should not be allowed to sell guns Middle-Eastern people. Note that FFL employees shouldn’t be expected to tell EXACTLY what a Middle Easterner looks like, so people from Central Asia, the Mediterranean Region, and Central and South America should also be denied. Also anybody who’s Jewish is close-enough. Let’s face it most terrorists are Middle-eastern so why risk it by letting ANYBODY brown buy a gun?
Oh speaking of brown, African American people make up a huge percentage of our prison population, and African American neighborhoods have a disproportionate amount of violent crime. That means that if a black person comes into your gun shop they’re more likely a felon so why risk it?
Also younger people should be denied. You are not allowed to buy ANY guns under age 18, and no handguns under age 21, likely even if that guy has an ID that says he’s 22, its likely fake. Also young people are more likely to do drugs or excessively drink, and have less life experience so therefore are more likely to make mistakes under pressure, so why risk it?
Women should also be denied sales. There are less women shooters than men, so the women are more likely to be straw buyers, or simply lousy shots. So why risk it?
People with eyeglasses may be legally blind, and certainly impaired if their glasses fog, get wet, or are knocked off. These people are likely to kill things they can’t see or improperly identify, so why risk it?
100% of all White Supremacists are white people. If a white person is attempting to buy a gun they are more likely to use that gun to murder a jew or a negro, so why chance it?
OK Sarcasm off. Why don’t we do that? Well because they’re racist and arbitrary and really have no bearing on reality.
Can we agree on that? OK now somebody, anybody, explain how the “Terrorist Watch List” is any less arbitrary and racist?
Just what we need. A secret list, compiled by the government, deciding who has rights and who dosn’t. If the anti-rights types want this form of government I can give them a long list of countries they might enjoy living in.
What really scares me is the government even having a list like this in the first place and completely ingoring (due to political correctness) the real threat. The tactics and procedures employed by the TSA do not make us safer, they only make people “feel safe”. On Sept. 12. 2001 we should have immediately consulted with the Israelis and not tried to reinvent the wheel. I think most of the procedures used by the Israelis would have worked, with some possible modifications, in the U.S.A.
