Its a Wonder Why They Hate Gun Ownership So Much

So Mike W. has a post up about a leftie wanting to rounding up “tea-party types” to send them to re-education camps.

On a larger scale another lefty lunatic is calling the praise of this action going on by the Police State of Briton.

More people should tell police that friends or relatives carry weapons so they can be stopped and searched, Scotland Yard’s new commissioner said.

Bernard Hogan-Howe pledged to continue checks on London’s streets, saying the powers “can be effective”.

Yep, in the Police State known as the UK there is nothing akin to your 4th Amendment rights, and police stop and search people at a whim.

And of course they’re looking for things like pocket knives.

You see this is why “Progressives” hate gun ownership. They want HORRIBLE things as their bright utopia, and in that bright Utopia the key is bad things happening to people they don’t like.

Gun ownership is the ability to say “No thanks, not today!”. You see in places like the Soviet Union or Khmer Rouge Cambodia if you said “No I’d rather not be re-educated today!” or “No, I’d rather you not search me with zero probable cause” you’d be shot.

Here in the states we get upset when an officer THREATENS to shoot a peaceful citizen, can you imagine if they DID shoot them?

Yeah, they don’t want us armed, because this is their DREAM.

And note that it’s not about guns, and the Anti’s would never, never be satisfied.

The UK’s gun laws aren’t good enough. No, now they’re crying for spot searches of people for pocket knives.

And the 1984 analog writes itself.

I suppose that’s another difference. In the US the president trying a snitch program is met with mockery and derision.

In the UK… the Police Commissioner is the one pushing for the continuation of his program.

To change the saying slightly, “gun control” can be shortened to just “control” and be equally as accurate. Forcibly depriving us of lawfully-purchased private property is only the first step in every “gun control” extremist’s playbook… after that, it gets interesting, and tends to largely depend on the specific bigotries and intolerance of the extremists in question.

Still, I cannot help but to be amazed at how many people use the words “re-education camp”, and expect to be taken seriously, or regarded as anything more than a potential future threat…
