Very Good looks! Go check out Chasing Freedom (AKA Mrs. Heath) and her lovely Ren-Fair outfit.
Note the rocking Dragon Leatherworks Pistol pouch.
Just because you’re dressed in medieval garb doesn’t mean you can’t pack 20th Century firepower!
I really dig the “concealed in plain sight” idea behind the pistol pouch. Its the same idea as those who carry in a fanny-pack, but with vastly more class!
Back before AZ passed a CCW law, I used to use a Wilderness Products SafePacker.
It was a nondescript case, with or without a strap, in appropriate sizes and colors.
One could carry a .38 snub, or a full-sized 1911(with reloads), in the open.
Some people may have thought you a little metrosexual, but, who cares?
On three separate occasions, I encountered the police, one of those times for a minor citation.
I got the ‘once over’, and was then ignored.
Great with swimwear!
I’ll be honest, I didn’t even notice the pistol p0uch. it blended in that well.
I need one of these. I have a Safepacker, but it doesn’t blend well with my SCA clothing. I end up putting my Safepacker inside a leather haversack.
Sean,
Go read the review at JayG’s of the Pistol Pouch. It really is a perfect leather box holster that will blend with almost any RenFaire-ish, SCA, or other period-type costuming.
I could even leave it as raw leather, simply oiled with Neetsfoot, and after a year or two in hot, sunny weather, it’ll develop a great patina, and really take on a very rustic/rugged appearance.
