According to him the cold temperatures caused his gun to gum up causing the failures in the video.
Still he handled them well, making for an interesting video. The expletive at the end doesn’t hurt either!
How cold was it? They still do shooting here at -40 sometimes. The secret is TSI-301.
That stuff NEVER freezes up. I can’t remember what the freezing point is, but it’s something ungodly unless you’re up in Barrow. It smells lemon fresh too. I used it on my door this winter, when the latch froze and it wouldn’t close one morning during a long cold snap. Worked like a charm.
I don’t bother with other lubes on my stuff, just in case I decide to shoot during the winter. It works great even during hot weather.
I guess the guys found out about this stuff once during high school rifle. Someone came up to an event to sell this stuff and gave a bunch away when it was the only thing that did NOT gum up the rifles and air guns.
