So Nissan makes the Cube….boy its ugly
Somebody said on this blog it looked like a car that got left in the dryer too long. Really ugly…uglier than the Scion xB or the Honda Element combined.
But man, Nissan, you got something to prove?
That’s the Nissan Juke, that is an ugly fucking car! It looks like a compact car with an extra set of chromosomes. Seriously, did you mean for the car to look like that?
How can you make something that butt ugly and then make the Maxima and the Altima coupe, both of which are nice looking cars.
They totally ruined the styling of the Z with the 370 too.
I kinda like the new Z, and while I don’t have any particular affinity Nissan’s Sedan and Van line-up, they aren’t bad looking cars. Also in Florida I drove a Nissan Versa, and I was so taken by that little kart, I must do a review on it!
Also a few people at work drive Rogues (Which BTW amuses my D&D g33k since I drive a Ranger)
Just these cars are as homely as a box of assholes!

the Juke…yeah, if it weren’t so danged small i’d like it a lot more.
I had a ride in a Cube a while back, and though I can’t say anything about it’s looks besides “weird,” there is an amazing amount of space inside. It’s like the TARDIS, or something, and I can’t figure it out.
Buddy of mine has an Element. Ugly as all get-out, inside and out, and the thing switches lanes without asking on a windy day, and you’ll get board timing it in a 0-60 (Better try the 0-16) but it is DAMN comfy to sit in front or back, and he hauls a good deal of crap around when he travels.
Check the surveillance cameras or the email logs, I bet you’ll find a conspiracy at work here.
I’m betting that at a convention years ago, a bunch of designs got drunk and started talking trash. Which morphed into something like
“Yah, you think that is an ugly car, I could design one that is uglier”
Many drinks later, a few friendly insults and a competition is borne.
It has to be a conspiracy, hopefully because if it isn’t; that means a great many people have lost their frickin minds.
What’s scary is at least in the Boston area they are selling VERY well. I see a ton of Cubes, and I’ve seen several Jukes, and they’ve only been out for a few months.
I mean the Taurus Judge is only a few hundred bucks, I can see somebody buying one for the LOLz, but a Car, as entry-level as these cars may be, is pushing it a bit far!

Now it’s a newer model one, so not as ugly as the old ones. Only complaint is it’s not flex-fuel, but the usefuness of that is yet to be shown.
Sorry dude, you gots a pig-ugly car. Now its a comfortable, useful, economical, and well-priced car. But ugly!
Now smart car drivers, those are the people without an ounce of sense. Expense, cramped, uncomfortable, with no cargo room, and they get lousy gas mileage to boot.
Driving a Smart car is the equivalent of wearing an “I’m a retard!” T-shirt!
I wouldn’t trade my 2007 Suzuki SX4 for a 2011 Nissan JUKE if you paid me $1000 to sweeten the deal. (And yes, the picture on the TrueDelta page is, in fact, my Suzuki; I took the picture at Fort Huachuca, AZ.)
Oh, that’s a neat looking little compact! At first I was thinking you had said zX4, those were fucked up little cars. The Samurai was shit too. Other than that I know nothing of Suzuki.
Interestingly enough, Giorgetto Giugiaro’s firm Italdesign designed my Suzuki SX4 and (according to Wikipedia) my Beretta Cx4.

FUCKED UP CAR!
MrsZ drove (and liked) the Rogue when we were car-shopping for her; the fit/finish of the CR-V that she ended up with was just an order of magnitude better and “only” a couple thousand more on the bottom line.
I keep looking at the Juke and thinking, “I wonder what the inside is like?” … they are eye-catching – good, bad, or other. The Cube, however, needs to be mashed in a car-compactor. It’s already shaped for it. Hideous beast.
I hope they don’t fubar the Frontiers before it’s time for me to replace my truck.
If you were to put a cube into a ‘pactor, how would you know if it worked?
It’s a shame the Juke’s got an ugly face. The rest of the car doesn’t look bad, it’s built on the Versa platform you like, it’s available with all wheel drive, it’s got 188HP in a pretty-light-for-a-modern-car 3000lb vehicle, it still gets over 30mpg highway, and you can load it up with leather and a nice stereo for about $22k. It’s definitely a double-bagger though, that face is awful.
I gotta say, I love and hate the Juke. We spied it in a parking lot one day and simply had to find out what it was (we were driving by and didn’t catch the model name at the time).
It makes me think of what would happen if a sneaker got it on with a dune buggy.
(Hate Cubes and other box-with-wheels type vehicles. Most seem wrong.)
