North End Groper: How Gun Control Works

I’ve written about this asshole before, because he still hasn’t been caught by Boston Police, despite this guy doing his attacks in the same relatively small area year-after-year.

The big thing that gets me is the woman-on-the-street interviews.

-They’re Afraid
-They say “This Could Happen Anywhere” (that’s true)
-One woman is thinking about getting Mace: (Will it even work?, and if it DOES work, will the person it works on be yourself? Also I suspect this woman has no idea she needs a Firearms Identification Permit just to buy and carry pepper spray and mace)
-They consistently say “Don’t travel alone at night”.

Yep YOUR freedom should be heavily restricted, and you should be in fear because the cops can’t catch this guy.

I would say “Carry Your Damn Gun”, except this is in Boston’s North End. Unless you have connections to state workers, or enough money to bribe your way into the inner circle, you will never see a carry permit as a Bean-Town resident.

You know what you’ll see? Another woman groped in the North End, and probably somebody raped.

That’s how gun control works! Anti-Gunners, you should be proud!

Since option #1 is out (as a self inflicted restriction on most of these people) and it appears option #2 went with it (Pepper Spray of the Pepper Blaster). What options do these women have. If I was a woman (That would be a scary sight) in Mass. and could not get a carry permit for even pepper spray what can I legally carry? What kind of restrictions are on blades and batons? What about a sock full of quarters? What options are available?

Back when I was self-defense minded enough to ask for a carry permit (and be denied because I picked the wrong town to live in), and after I realized that OC and other defensive sprays often don’t work, and potentially work on the defender, and have ZERO stopping power, I started carrying a Ka-bar TDI. Blades under 5″ with single-edges are not considered weapons, a fixed blade is stronger and deploys faster than any switchblade or folding knife. Also the TDI offers a really solid and intuitive design, and it gives you a solid grip that won’t slide down the blade which is a must for a fighting knife.

They hardly turn you into a ultimate ninja, but it is a formidable force multiplier that is easily concealed and not regulated by Massachusetts general law (certain localities might have their own rules). Its what I carry if I’m in a place that doesn’t respect my licenses, or doesn’t allow carry (like if I go to the post-office). Note tho, I know when I was in North Carolina carrying a fixed knife is a crime, so check your local laws, but as far as I know Mass the TDI is perfectly legal for carry without any permissions needed.

Ka-Bar TDIs are what I’ve given to several female friends who had received threats and needed protection NOW, but had months to go before they could get a Mass Carry Permit.

A gun is vastly a better option, and I strongly recommend that nobody carry Pepper Spray as a defensive weapon as it brings far too many dangers and solves almost none. A Ka-Bar TDI strikes me as the 2nd best option.

We have a guy around here (DC) that is going around slashing girls as*es with a razor.

Yeah, that guy is just a step away from aggravated sexual assault/rape. It’s in his psych profile. He’s just one rung below that and if they don’t catch him or someone doesn’t end him soon he’ll 100% do it. They guy slashing women is on video somewhere. I saw that last week. There’s another guy that needs to meet up with someone ready to defend themself.

What needs to happen is for the women (and their men) to stop going out/eating in those restaurants and shops… When business gets bad, the merchants WILL get something done!
