In the warm up they show a civilian legal M60 Light Machine Gun while talking about civilian semi-auto Long-Gun sales. Still in the end while Wayne LaPiere is talking about the ATF’s criminal activities in project GunWalker they showed stock footage of the ATF committing murder in full ninja-garb at Waco.
I’ll call that fair-is-fair. Just the plain-old-truth would be better, but media sensationalism cuts both ways.
In the middle I’d say Mr. LaPierre did a great job. My only quibble is a small one, when the reported asked if he believed the Cartels were getting NO guns from US shops (always watch out for those absolute questions) I would have said “Of course they are! The ATF and the FBI are giving them to them!” Its already been shown the trace guns from the famous “Mexican Gun Canard” add up to just about the number the ATF documented as guns “walked” across the boarder under their watch and their protection.
I’m sure a few AR-15s or MAC-90s, as well as a bunch of various semi-auto hunting guns probably have been smuggled into Mexico along with the cash and other contraband from the drug trade, but those numbers are insignificant compared to the guns moved across the boarded through the criminal acts of our vary government.
So yeah, good interview, good press!
