Offshore life is a dirty hard one, and until very recently devoid of women. The music bread in this environment takes on a certain crude tone that I find quite appealing.

Oftimes I think the differences betwixt crassness and crudeness lies in the murky waters of “appropriate to the situation.” For example: trash talk on the sporting field is crass; trash talk elsewhere is crude.
That said, I do love nicely crass drinking songs and sailing shanties. But I repeat myself. 😉
