You know what would keep something like this from happening?
Make sure that all cars are registered with the state.
Require that all drivers have a license to operate a motor vehicle.
Require that all vehicle owners carry insurance on their cars.
That will make this never happen again…
Out of the park, Bro! This of course a great parallel to the most draconian gun control laws out there. We all know vehicular crime is common place. I know a guy who’s car got mangled by some drunk at 5am. Somebody on the street snapped a picture of the car and license plate. You’d think he’d see the chump in jail, and get a couple of grand to fix his busted car.
Nope. The license plate didn’t match the make and model of car it was attached to. The driver is likely an illegal alien driving some shitbox. Even if the Five-oh pulls him over with his bumper dragging, and tequila on his breath, the best they can do is seize the car and hold him for bail…then he’ll disappear into a new stolen identity.
Same goes with guns here in Massachusetts. All my guns are registered, I have a permit that those guns are registered to, all private sales are logged with the state, I even need to flash my permit to buy a box of .22s, or some virgin brass.
And guess what it does when the bangers in Boston want to go strapped on a drug deal. NOTHING.
Again, gun control laws are just to punish and eliminate lawful gun owners. They don’t give two shits about criminals and the mayhem they bring.
But… but… but… guns are different.
