The Basics

This happens from time-to-time Jay and I went shooting last weekend, Jay shot like a boss I shot like a total zero. Happens to us all, we all have rotten days, and sometimes our skills just evaporate.

So today I headed down to the range with nothing thrilling in my range bag. I had a brick of .22 and my S&W 617 .22 revolver.

I was planning to hit the outdoor pistol range and shoot at 15 and 50 feet. Turns out there was a pistol class going on (I wish I had stuck my head into the classroom to see the demographics and numbers) so I went to the .22 only gallery range that is 50 feet only. Double-action only.

My shooting was all about trigger pull and sight alignment. Not the most exciting day at the range, but my groupings showed the work.

I’ll need to repeat this a few more times just to firm up.
