Isn’t that what they say, that as soon as a reasonable facsimile of a sex bot is created the death of the human race is all but assured?
Probably not. With all the fantastic and inexpensive birth control out there, just look at the teen pregnancy, and unwanted pregnancy and abortion rates.
Yeah if there is a realistic sex robot then there will be a class of people who will give up human sexuality entirely. Its still requiring extra equipment. Further I know a bunch of people who keep a toybox in the bedroom. I’m sure I know a lot more than I think I do, because NONE of them keep that stuff in the open.
So there’s a stigma about sex here (and moreso in the religious conservative world) so there will be a lot of people willing and able to get some robo-pooty on the side, but won’t just because of pure social reservation.
And of course we’ll still have horny teens, and poor people in the ghettos and trailer parks humping like bunnies because its easier than going to the sex store or ordering online.
