Another Gun Control Sucess Story

The hits keep coming for the “Gun Control Saves Lives” Zealots!

Unknown gunmen attacked an American diplomatic vehicle south of Mexico City, injuring three people, a Mexican military official told CNN Mexico.

The motive behind the attack on the U.S. vehicle, which was on a diplomatic mission, was not immediately known.

Gunmen inside what was described as a Mexican federal police vehicle fired upon a U.S. Embassy vehicle, said the official, who declined to be named for security reasons.

The Mexican official said three Mexican marines were injured in the shooting. However, there were conflicting reports. Some Mexican reports stated that two of the injured were Americans.

Not only are guns essentially illegal in Mexico, but impersonating federal officials is illegal as well.

Boy these laws work well!

  1. Old NFO says:

Through the grapevine, the two injured are US Marines from the Embassy…

  2. I’d give it better than even odds that the guns used were supplied by Eric Holder.

I’d actually take that bet. Due to corruption of Mexican Police, and the desertion rate of the Mexican military, and the stability and corruption of other South and Central American Governments, as well as Chinese arms sales, I’m betting the guns were full-auto guns acquired by the Mexican government, or illegally acquired guns from another country.

The only reason why so many guns were transferred in Fast and Furious is because the FBI was footing the bill, and the ATF was supplying security for the Drug Runners crossing into Mexico.

Without those factors stolen or illegally supplied Mexican guns, and black market guns are cheaper, and a full-military quality.

I see nothing in the report to indicate that the occupants of the Federale car were ‘impersonators’… merely that the gunfire came from a Federale car.
