Another TSA Sucess Story!

Woman misses a flight because the TSA won’t allow heterosexual sexual assault and they sent all the female rapists home!

– A Denver woman claims she couldn’t board a flight from Wyoming to Denver because of her gender. Jennifer Winning makes the flight from the small airport of Rock Springs, WY to Denver often, but on January 29th it was different.

“They wouldn`t let me get on the plane because I`m female,” Winning said.

She said she checked in and arrived at security about 35 minutes before the scheduled departure of her United flight.

“They asked if I was on the flight to Denver, I said yes, they said that they couldn`t screen me because they sent all the female TSA agents home,” Winning said.

A female agent was necessary because of those new pat-downs.

The woman cut the flight a little close, but given that the TSA cannot detect contraband, and have not done anything to make flying safer in America, and their “Screening protocols” are sexual assault and violations of the 4th Amendment, these Thugs shouldn’t be the reason she missed her flight!

Disband the TSA Yesterday!

TSA is claiming that the airline told them they would not be accepting anymore passengers before they sent the women home. It sounds like she may have missed the final boarding time, in which case it’s her fault rather than TSA being stupid.

But I would like to see confirmation by the airline. I find it odd that they would set the final boarding time over half an hour before the departure time.

Then the airline should have turned her away at the gate. There’s no need for a citizen to be searched without a warrant or probable cause.

Oh, I agree with you on that 100%! They need to be disbanded yesterday.

But I also think we do need to be sure that we’re giving “credit” where it’s due. In this case TSA wasn’t actually the problem (assuming they’re not lying, of course), it was the woman being late that was the problem. She would have missed her flight anyway, but TSA is getting blamed for it simply because they were the first point of contact to inform her of that.

Yeah I said above that she cut it close. Still the TSA says it was because of the airline and the TSA has a horrible track record of telling the truth. The TSA said they weren’t going to be sexually assaulting children, despite volumes of evidence against it. TSA said Rand Paul was detained for being “Irate” despite volumes of evidence disputing that. The TSA says the Backscatter scanners are safe, but there is no public information to confirm or refute that claim. There isn’t even any information that suggests those officials quoted have access to any such data.

If Barny Frank said something unbelievable, and a TSA official said it wasn’t true, I’d side with Frank.

The longest I’ve ever had from front door through the TSA to taking a seat at the gate is 15 minutes.. and not just at the local airport. Even in huge airports like Tampa, Houston, Austin, Dallas, and Dulles.

35 minutes IS cutting it close, but the plain and simple fact is that if there had been a female TSA rep there, she could’ve gotten on her plane.

I wish the article listed the time of her flight, so we could see if it was during a ‘normal business’ hour.

          • Weerd Beard says:

Another note is how often has a plane waited 15-20 mins because the airline has noted they have checked bags and issued a boarding pass to party X, and they haven’t checked in at the gate yet.

Good to get there an hour before your flight, but I won’t buy she missed the flight anyway just because the Gate-Rapists say so.

Sexism! Quick, call the ACLU!! … who, by the way, Ed Morrissey says has nuked the fridge over the Catholic contraception dustup. I disagree; I think it happened a while ago.

WV: fu45. No no no, .40 is the devil’s caliber; I like .45 just fine!

I personally enjoy F’ING with TSA. While returning from a wedding in 2002, the groom and I were subjected to a pat down at the Harlingen, Texas airport, in full view if the public, where we were forced to open our trousers and patted down over our boxers. I turned to the groom and quipped “I wasn’t treated this well at your bachelor party! How much do you think I should tip him?”. Older and wiser, I would not be intimidated into that position in the first place, however, part of me really wants to ask the pat down guy “how much for a happy ending” next time I fly.
