I don’t much care for Larry Pratt, he’s well known for being intentionally inflammatory over furthering the debate in attempts to gain attention for his lackluster gun-rights group (which spends just as much time attacking people for being Democrats, rather than furthering gun rights). Still man he gets Piers to loose his shit here.

I’m with you…I’ve had harsh words for Larry in the past, but he knocked it out of the park. Piers would be comical if the situation wasn’t so serious.

If Larry’s arguments were so stupid and ridiculous, why was he afraid to let them be heard? His own towering wisdom when held up in contrast should have made it obvious to everyone who was right.
Since the UK has a violent crime rate four times that of the US, he can’t really argue the facts. He has to go straight to name calling.
Pratt was amazing! The best tactic when someone is getting loud and animated and resorting to ad hominem attacks is to stay calm and polite—it makes the contrast so much greater. Even his little barbs back at Piers were subtle and calm. I’m impressed.
Actually his barbs were not only calm and subtle, but also made reference to the rude treatment he’d received. Nobody gets upset when a bully gets popped in the nose.

Freedom isn’t free. It’s the whole “grass is greener” argument. To that I say,”the grass is greener because you have more shit to deal with” Yes we have less gun laws* than the UK,but both places have people who will want to kill you. Guns are a great equalizer. It gives the weak, protection, from the bad person.
