“Gun Death” Boating

Interesting case

A Burnet County man was sentenced on Friday to 100 days in county jail and 10 years of probation for failing to render assistance in a fatal boating incident on Lake Buchanan nearly 10 years ago….Investigators struggled with the case until late 2010, when they received information that Marburger once owned a boat that matched the description of the boat thought to have struck the teenagers’ craft.

During a search of property that Marburger owned near Bertram, Texas game wardens literally dug up the boat. Marburger admitted to burying the craft and having been at the helm in the early morning hours of May 3 when the boat struck Roberts’ boat head on.

Strange charges and how long it took to level them. Still while you don’t need a background check, I believe even on lakes all motor craft need to be registered. Does just as much good as it does with “Gun Death”.

How about some training to own one of these deadly boats. An 8 hour course and “may issue” permit.

    SGB:

Yes, exactly. And there’s no legitimate sporting use for those high-powered “assault boats” with the giant engines. We need reasonable horsepower limitations, too.

I think “lost them in a tragic boating accident” only works for inanimate objects…
