Well this makes a Happy Mother’s Day
Not long before, around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, she’d dropped Clifton “JR” Barkin off at his house after taking him to Wal-Mart to buy flowers and a Mother’s Day card for Paige Parkerson, the mother of Barkin’s two small children.
When she answered the phone, she said Parkerson was on the line.
“Paige told me she killed JR, that he was dead,” Wright said through sobs…Barkin, 22, was stabbed several times and died just after midnight Monday in the backyard of his yellow rental house. Wright said she believes Parkerson expected a more expensive gift, such as jewelry.
Wow, that’s super-classy right there! Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth! Also what a deserving mother, isn’t she?
Hey but no gun, no “gun death”, so no tragedy, huh?
h/t Bob to Farmdad, but I’ll link to Farmgirl to keep it in the family!
Ok, I’ve dated (and/or been married to) a number of really screwed-in-the-head psycos, but none of them ever tried to stab me for buying her flowers.
The first wife got mad enough once to make a fist and hit me once (in the chest). I was pretty hard back then (USMC). She thought she broke her hand. I just laughed at her hopping around, cussing, holding her hand. No need to hit back, that was a self correcting problem.

I’m generally not in favor of spousal abuse on either side, but that right there was funny!
That isn’t “Abuse” its “Just Desserts”.
He didn’t hit her, she hit him, and it hurt her. Fair ball!
By my definition, HER hitting HIM is abuse. Not that he was hurt by it, or even inconvenienced, but if it’s abuse for a man to do it to a woman, then by God it’s abuse if a woman does it to a man.
But we are agreed on both “just desserts” and “fair ball”. 🙂
Oh yeah, that part is bullshit. But people need to learn sometime…just too bad it took her this long.
