Home Again

Back in Massachusetts. It was a great send-off for my beloved Grandmother. I got the honor with a the other Grandsons to be her pallbearer. It was pretty moving for me to bear my Grandmother to her final resting place beside my Grandfather.

Also my Grandmother, like most French Canadians was Catholic, and the priest at the service was french himself. It was beautiful hearing him read from the book of Revelations in that all-familiar French Canadian Accent.

After the service we all gathered in a local hotel and went through her old photo albums and exchanged stories, and made fun of the unfortunate fashions of the 70s and 80s.

So now I’m home, and I’m dead tired. Normal posting will resume soon.

Thanks for all your support. My family all reads the blog and they’ve been just as touched by your support as I have.

Thanks guys.

I’m glad the ceremony worked out so well for you.

And I’m glad you got the privilege to carry her that last time.

Welcome back Weerd. Sounds like you were able to take a lot of good out of the experience, and that is excellent.
