    Actually, with the economy on the verge of tanking big, I have to admit that it crossed my mind that the Republicans might have thrown the whole thing thinking that they would be able to sweep in in another 4 years and pick up the pieces.

    But with Romney towing so close to the party line (the real one, not the one that so many republicans pretend that they still stand for), I’m not so sure.

    Don’t blame the voters. We Republicans did not nominate a charismatic conservative.

    We nominated an apparatchik, a corporate type, and a preacher, all rolled into one.

    We OWN this loss, not the voters.
