Light Blogging Ahead

Man seems like I’ve been traveling a LOT recently. I have no idea how Old NFO does it!

So I’m up in Maine, and will be headed north to one of the world-famous mouse labs for a week of surgery training. Should be fun and interesting, but I suspect blogging will be VERY light.

“Gun Death” Magazine is stuffed to the brim (thanks again for all reader submissions), so at least you can swing by for the freak show!

Relax and enjoy it as much as you can. We’ll all be around when you get back. I don’t know how old NFO does it either. Every time he hollars on the phone to say hi he’s off yet again!

  2. Paul B. says:

The odd thing is, I understand this completely. Are you working with knockout mice?

    • Weerd Beard says:

Sometimes, but most of our work is xenographs on immunocompromised animals, and tox studies, so we don’t need the crazy-expensive knockouts.

I suspect the surguries will be on plane-jane wild-types.

I do it because I have NO life… sigh… It’s pretty bad when the hostesses in the restaurant in Honolulu remember us… BY NAME!
