Wow I found this site and kept saying “How the Hell did he do that!??!!?”

I get the ships in bottles where the rigging are erected after the hull is passed through the neck, and various fruits and veggies that grew from nubs inside the bottle.

But how the hell do you do this stuff without breaking the bottle???

Clearly the man was a master glass-blower and constructed the bottle around the items.

I mean, anything else is just witchcraft…

If you read the description of the one with the label it should be a bit more clear, that’s some pretty clever stuff.

    That’s pretty amazing, all right!

Keep in mind that the man was a magician. In other words, he delighted in doing things that look utterly impossible. And a good magician never tells his secrets.

On the other hand, a good magician also makes it clear, as this guy did, that there’s nothing supernatural about what he does — that if you knew exactly how he did it, and had the skill and patience he has, you could probably do it too. (This is what occupied Harry Houdini at the end of his life — exposing fraudulent mediums and such. He said he had no problem with magicians doing magic tricks, but it offended him when they claimed that what they did was real. It’s the difference between being entertained and being lied to.)

I love the way he gives just enough of a hint to be tantalizing. (That bit about using only a pencil and a rubber band, for example.)

Thanks for showing this to us, WB!
