“They’ve killed my son, and now they’re trying to kill his reputation.”

The title is a quote from Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin. Of course now we have this.

They’re now claiming George Zimmerman sexually molested somebody when he was 9, and they’re talking about Zimmerman arming himself in the aftermath of the shooting….you know when a bounty was put on his head, and people were calling for him to be murdered.

There are people who want George Zimmerman dead, guilty, innocent or otherwise, and they appear determined to do it by any means.

They can’t convict him based on the facts, so they’re trying to convict him by tainting the jury pool. Angela Corey (and her entire team) needs to be disbarred and charged with violating Zimmerman’s civil rights under color of law.

    This is ridiculous.

  2. Miguel says:

It is not the first time that Corey uses alleged sex crimes to bolster a case that appears to be going downhill.

And another case where she went crazy with power (Ronald Thompson) was just thrown out. She is not doing good lately and hopefully not in the near, middle or far future.

  3. I’m trying to figure out who the “they” that she thinks killed her son is. Does Zimmerman have multiple personality disorder or something? Perhaps a mouse in his pocket?

  4. Bob S. says:

I don’t know how any prosecutor would believe a judge would allow this to be introduced into the case.

Prejudicial, absolutely. Related to the case, NOPE.

So since Ms. Corey is an experience prosecutor, I have to wonder why it was released.
Probably for the same reason the wife was arrested and Zimmerman was charged with perjury.

    Leverage.

I see it as a push for him to plea bargain down; she’ll insist on jail time to avoid riots and since he has been charged with the crime; the Martin family can sue. They will probably go for both Zimmerman and the HOA- and hope for a large cash settlement.

    • Roadkill says:

It goes beyond just legal leverage. This affects his ability to get funds to fight the limitless state resources. Is there a better way to make his legal defense donations dry up than to make him out to be a child molester? I can’t think of a single thing that can compare.

  5. Greg Camp says:

Martin’s mother needs to accept that her son created his own reputation all by himself. Or was it society that made him the way that he was? Oh, that must be it. What people who believe that don’t get is that if it’s true, then the same applies to Zimmerman, and we can all go home now.

    • Weerd Beard says:

Its the same reaction we get when some hardcore drug dealer gets killed. Momma always comes in front of the cameras and says “He was a good boy” and “He was turning his life around”, so much that its an oft mocked cliche.

Or on a similar vein when a total bastard dies, and people either mum up, or gloss over their faults. People don’t want to speak ill of the dead.

I don’t know how bad of a kid Martin was, but I do know he was hardly an angel, and the things we know he did in life lead me to believe that Zimmerman’s story is hardly a tall one….even before the forensic evidence is added to the pile.

  6. McThag says:

When I die I have three people who’ve promised to tell the media, “He was a bastard, he had it coming,” just because of this cliche.

It would so damned funny if I croaked being a hero.

    • Weerd Beard says:

“He may have been a good ma, but he was turning his life around!”

      That is funny!

The only problem is plenty of people believe the Babymomma when they say that. Just look at the people starting to spin all this evidence.

The bottom line is it doesn’t change any minds.
