Rodney King had been drinking and was on drugs when he plunged into a swimming pool and accidentally drowned in June, a coroner’s report released Thursday concluded….”It concludes our investigation,” he said. “Basically, our investigation revealed the same conclusion and now that we have the toxicology, it basically reinforces that.”
King is only famous because he was drugged out of his mind, lead police on a high-speed chase, resisted arrest, and was video taped when the police finally subdued him.
That and the racists of LA decided it was all race-related, and chose to send a message by destroying their own neighborhoods.
King continued to get in trouble with the law and lead a checkered life until the time of his death.
The report details numerous injuries King sustained over his lifetime, including several birdshot pellets that remained in his body after being shot in 2007 by a shotgun.

I think at this point journalists are required to write about people being shot in the passive voice, and omitting WHO was operating the gun.
At least he wasn’t run over by a rogue SUV.
