I loaded a car with explosives ONCE and frankly I’d rather never do it again. Notice the shrapnel from that play car…and that’s plastic. Imagine metal…HOT metal!
Also note that Jerry is using a spent case for a chamber flag. Does anybody know why such an advanced firearm doesn’t have a bolt hold-open? I wonder if it has to do with the fact that the bolt probably weighs as much as my carry gun….

That was FUN. Buddy of mine just finished a BREN build. The “kit” came as a receiver cut into four pieces. It has been welded back together and now functions as a mag fed, semi auto rifle chambered for .303 Brit. We’re gonna scrounge up an old stove or old fridge, take it down to his club, and blast the living daylights out of it. Too bad the Nannies here in MA make using “binaries” so difficult.

That is a nice Bren, we’ve been watching him build and troubleshoot it on the Weapons Guild. He’s finally got it running 100% from what I understand.
Built one myself, lots of fun and history in those.
