A Better Use for Bloomberg’s Money

You know, if he ACTUALLY cared about the victims.

Newtown voters have accepted a $50 million grant from the state of Connecticut to build a new Sandy Hook Elementary School, the site of last year’s school massacre.

The unofficial results Saturday were 4,504 for the grant offer and 558 against.

The vote was essentially a formality since a task force of Newtown officials decided in May in favor of a plan to tear down the school and build a new one. Sandy Hook students have been attending classes at a school in neighboring Monroe.

Now the logical pragmatist in me first recoiled in horror at this. I mean WHAT A WASTE! There can’t be anything wrong with that building that a few thousand dollars can’t fix.

Still I must respect the emotions of the people of Newtown, as its more than just a building now. Still why do the tax payers have to pay to tear down a perfectly good building and re-build it?

I think Michael Bloomberg should build a new School. Hell call it “Bloomberg Elementary” and hang pictures of his vulture-like face all over it.

One Response to A Better Use for Bloomberg’s Money

  1. Bob S. says:

I offered to sell a Lorcin for 5K so that gun grabbers could possibly save one life.
Even at that outrageous price a matching grant of $50 Million could take 10,000 firearms off the streets.

Now I’m pretty sure Bloomberg could afford to build both the school and purchase a few firearms……if he was really interested in saving lives that is.
