What most people forget is the Columbine Attack was actually a failed bomb attack, rather than a successful gun attack.
Oregon police said over the weekend that they stopped a Columbine-style plot against an Albany-area high school, and one student is in custody after authorities claim they found pipe bombs, napalm and other homemade explosives in his home.
Acting on a tip, police searched the home of West Albany High School student Grant Acord on Thursday, according to ABC News. Inside the home, police say they found a secret compartment where he stored six homemade explosive devices and other bomb-making materials.
You won’t see any of the antis talking about this because no guns were part of the plan….of course the bombs (depending on construction) could be vastly more deadly.
Point of order:
I’ve read alleged excerpts from his notebooks outlining some of the variations on his ‘plan’… and those excerpts *did* in fact include ‘shooting’.
I didn’t hear of any guns seized. That’s a big part.
He certainly had the bombs.
I’m not so sure we won’t hear from them. Bombs are our fault now, remember?
Well they tried that…but it failed hard. The big loser from the Boston Bombing was the fight to legalize fireworks in the commonwealth.
They’ve been making strong moves on that front, but now the Marathon Bombing will be trotted out every time we attempt to make fireworks legal like they are in New Hampshire and Maine….which didn’t have a terrorist bombing…
To echo what Phssthpok said – the local news today did say he was planning on getting both a “Rifle” and a “Shotgun” to use as part of his meticulously-planned attack.
This was from his notes, which doesn’t reference the guns, but does mention shooting:
“Leave home with stuff in truck at 7:30. Go to first period. After period wait in parking lot until 10:00 a.m. Drive to smoke pot to gear up. Be back in far parking lot by 11:00. If no school resource officer is there, move to parking lot next to 3rd exit parked backwards at 11:10. Get gear out of trunk. Carry duffle in one hand, napalm firebomb in the other, walk towards school with ‘airport stak’ blasting out of car. Drop duffle. Light and throw napalm, unzip bag and begin firing. Cooly state: ‘The Russian grim reaper is here’ (bad boys 2). If 3rd exit is blocked by napalm fire, or is locked, run to 1st entrance. In either entrance, throw a smoke bomb prior to walking in. Proceed to enter the school, then shoot and throw bombs throughout the school. Kill myself before SWAT engages me.” Source: KATU
What’s exceptional about all this is, since he never did get any firearms, they’ve changed the narrative, and now it’s all about some poor, misunderstood kid that got a Staph infection that caused him to get “PANDAS” and that he’s not really to blame…
You can bet your bucket if he had managed to obtain firearms, this would have been reported VERY DIFFERENTLY…
