“Gun Death” Giant Lizard

Now the question is, what is more important, human life, or the life of a protected species?

A park official says two people have been hospitalized after being attacked by a giant komodo dragon that wandered into the office of a wildlife park in eastern Indonesia…. Both were badly bitten and were evacuated to a hospital on Bali Island.

Endangered Komodo dragons can grow longer than 3 meters (10 feet). Fewer than 4,000 are believed to be alive. They are found in the wild primarily on the eastern Indonesian islands of Komodo, Padar and Rinca.

Hey, but getting killed by a giant lizard isn’t being shot, right?

    What Gun for Dinosaur?

    .577 T-rex, of course.

And really, which death would make a better story for your survivors?
“Poor Uncle Weerd, got shot during a holdup” sounds like a tragedy
“Didja hear, Uncle Weerd got eaten by giant lizards in the South Pacific!” sounds like an H Rider Haggard novel.
