“Gun Death” Hatchet

A nice and simple one!

A Gaithersburg man has been arrested and accused of killing another man with a hatchet.

At about 12:09 a.m. today, Montgomery County police responded to a reported burglary at a home in the 7217 Cliff Pine Drive in Gaithersburg. The caller, a man, reported that someone had tried to break into the home and that he had killed him….There never was a burglary at the home and the caller and the deceased knew each other, said police spokeswoman Angela Cruz.

My only complaint with this story is that it didn’t happen in a state with a castle doctrine. Why? Well because the results would be the same…only it would further deflate the anti-rights talking point on “License to murder”.

Oh well…BAN HATCHETS!!

One Response to “Gun Death” Hatchet

This also deflates one of my favorite talking points of the antis to bust. When they talk about the need to create “lost and stolen” crimes, they claim that straw purchasers “just say it was stolen”- as if detectives can’t detect the evidence of a break-in (or lack thereof). They also say there should be no self-defense laws because a murderer can just say “it was self-defense” or “he was a bugler”, yet we find that cops are not totally incompetent and can still catch criminals in lies by doing a little police work.
