“Gun Death” Killer Wasps

I HATE Wasps. Bees are overall friendly. Don’t hurt them, they won’t hurt you, and they’re overall good for things.

Wasps sting without provocation and are generally just pests.

They’re more than pests in China!

Rampant attacks by giant hornets in northwest China have killed 42 people and have injured more than 1,600 others, according to state officials.
The flying insects, believed by biologists to be Asian giant hornets, are able to get as big as two inches in length with stingers as long as 1/5 of an inch.

Gahhhh! But hey, only “Gun Death” counts, right?

Wasps are odd. To me, they’re about as peaceful as bees. I can walk amidst a swarm of them, and as long as I don’t move suddenly or anger them, things are good. My mother, however…wasps will seek her out across the yard and fly over to sting her. Something scent/pheromonal, I suppose.

I used to be like your Mom. I might still be, but growing up with all the wasp stings and attacks, all from somebody with a VERY healthy respect for stinging insects, so I can say VERY unwarranted, I’ve had a kill-on-sight order for all wasps I see.
