Ya know, I think I really want a War Hammer (not the game, the weapon). Something fairly ornate, but “functional”, to hang on the wall in the front hallway just as a conversation piece. I wouldn’t want one that looks like a regular hammer. I would want it to look like something a (fantasy) Dwarf or Barbarian would use in warfare. I wonder if anyone makes such a thing. Note: it would have to be the “real” deal, not some cheap replica crap. There is a reason why I don’t have “swords” hanging around my house. It’s because the swords you buy now days, for the most part, aren’t really functional, they are decorative. They aren’t made anywhere near to the standards of a sword that is actually intended to be used and would fall apart after a few seconds of realistic use. I like REAL things, fake things make me sad.

Since warhammers are just, well, hammers with sharp bits, I’d bet the “replicas” are pretty close to the originals in quality. If not better. These were mostly peasant farm tools taken to the battlefield, after all.
