More Gun Hipsters

Tam has a great post about obscure carry guns.

The Jack references this post about my PM45 (which isn’t REALLY a hipster gun). A Bunch of people carry them, and they carry them BECAUSE AWESOME!

My Favorite:
PM45 Hipster2

Still it reminds me of when I first met Tam. She was shooting her ubiquitous S&W M&P9, and I was shooting my PM45. When her gun ran dry I offered my gun and a fresh magazine to her.

She politely said “No thanks!”

Tam simply has transcended the wiz-bang. She has what works.

I can’t blame her, and there’s a reason why we all admire her!

    Well…..that AND her masterclass snark.

She brings things back to reality.

The Kahr 45 shot great when I tried one, but the magazine clattering on the ground three times in six shots is not.

    I’m evoking Robb’s List….

When I have the cash to pick up a dedicated pocket pistol (went with the good old fashioned Glock 17 for my first), I’m going with a Glock 29. 10mm auto subcompact, something I wasn’t sure even existed until I looked for it. And some people complain about .45 ACP being too much for a pocket pistol!

I’m going to name it “Cricket”

You might need some pretty big pockets. A G29 is almost the same size as a G19 in overall dimensions.

It certainly is a lot of gun in a little package. Too bad finding 10mm auto might be a bit tougher than other calibers.

Also if you plan on reloading you’ll need to look for a barrel with a fully supported chamber, as the factory Glock barrels tend to bulge cases after a few reloads.
