To be fair that snake head is probably mostly conscious because reptile brains aren’t as susceptible to hypoxia as mammalian ones are.

Best way I cook rattler is just fry it in butter, or else butter it, wrap it in foil with an apple slice and a little red wine, and bake it
It cooks fast though, so be careful
