I have a pond on my property . . . . and every year we get two or three mating pairs of those damned geese. Boy, do they make a mess. But . . . last year we had 17, count ’em, 17 goslings peeping around. And yeah, I have to agree, they are cute little buggers, even if they do leave their goose-poo everywhere.
Oh yeah, I know of the destructive powers of them.
My town sabotages any nests they can find (you dip the eggs in vegetable oil and then return them…Mom won’t lay a 2nd clutch, and eggs won’t hatch) and they use dogs and bird-bombs to encourage all geese on the lake to be migratory.
I assume your flock is migratory as well?
