Old Guard Vs. New Guard

They aren’t much alike.

I’m really glad we didn’t elect McCain President, and I’m hoping we can elect Rand Paul in the future.

  1. George says:

John McCain is a perfect example of why I don’t vote Republican anymore. On the other hand I would crawl over broken glass to vote for Rand Paul. I love him. He’s like his dad, but you get all of the balls and none of the nuts.

As long as people like McCain are the faces of the Republicans they will continue to loose elections.

  2. Erin Palette says:

Part of me really, REALLY wants Rand Paul to run for President. I would vote for him with joy in my soul and a spring in my step.

The other part of me thinks that maybe we need him more right where he is.

  3. McThag says:

Be honest, do you know any son of a crazy dad who didn’t turn out to be just as crazy?

It doesn’t necessarily disqualify him, but we need to check the flavor of the crazy before handing him missile keys.

  4. Cargosquid says:

“It’s always the wacko birds on right and left that get the media megaphone,” McCain told Huffington Post….

So, which one is media slut McCain?

McCain and Graham are just upset that they were upstaged. They make me think of two old queens yelling at the kids to get off of their lawn…and stop stealing their spotlight.

  5. HerrBGone says:

We have a nomination on the floor. I’ll second that! All in favor: Aye!

  6. I kinda feel sorry for McCain though. It’s obvious he lost his balls in Viet Nam.

  7. I’m not glad we didn’t elect McCain, in fact I’m pretty unhappy in the “Nobody could be worse than the guy in the White House now”, kind of way.

I certainly do hope that we can elect Rand Paul in 2016. The only up side of the current situation is that maybe enough voters will have Obama fatigue to make any Democrat unelectable.

After the filibuster the other night my son sent me a text saying that if there is any hope for the Republican party it lies in the libertarian wing of the party leading the way.

I hope there are lot of other young men and women who agree with him.
