Play Me Out: Powerman 5000

Haven’t done this song on the blog. One of my faves.

Is a great anthem of Classic Liberalism, if you ask me. Also I always fantasize about someday having my own news and talk show where this song is sampled in the bumper music.

Oh well, at least half of that is true. 😀

Hey look it’s Rob Zombie’s little brother, I remember I found out about Powerman 5000 because they were on the soundtrack to Titan A.E.

Yep Robert and Michael Cummings of Haverhill Massachusetts! Of course they both kicked off their Musical Careers in NYC because in the late 80s and early 90s they weren’t Ska bands! 🙂

Oh and for more Family ties PM5K’s guitarist “M.33” is Michael Tempesta, younger brother of White Zombie’s second Drummer John Tempesta. No wonder as Rob was PM5K’s producer.

I found about PM5k from a radio station when I was stationed in Cali. They always played really small up and coming bands and PM5k was one at the time. Bought their debut album the day it was out!
