Protip: Don’t Rob Banks

Further don’t rob banks in pro-gun states…you might get shot, and deserve it!

A bank robbery suspect is in a Kansas City hospital. He was shot while trying to hold up a bank in Trimble, MO.

Police said a man tried to rob the First Security Bank located on Interstate 169 in Trimble, MO, Friday shortly after 1:30 p.m. and it is believed a bank employee shot the suspect during the attempt. Trimble, MO, Police Chief Larry Fish confirmed a civilian opened fire on the man after he pulled a gun and demanded cash at the bank.

According to police, the robbery suspect then ran out, hopped in a car and took off, leading Trimble police and highway patrol on a chase that ended on I-435 near Northeast 76th Street when authorities laid down four sets of spike strips. Missouri State Highway Patrol took the suspect into custody where he was then taken to an area hospital.

Good on the citizen! If somebody is going to commit a serious felony with a weapon, you can safely assume that they very well might use it, even if the bank employees comply with his demands.

Also the Sheriff notes he can’t remember when the last time a bank was robbed in his area…I suspect there won’t be any copycats for this joker!
