Quote of the Day: Hot Air

On George Zimmerman’s traffic stop:

But I guess if, like Piers Morgan, you’re intent on believing for your own political reasons that Zimmerman is a murderer despite what Florida cops, a Florida jury, and the vast bulk of the evidence say, then yeah, obviously you’ll be pretend-concerned to be reminded that he’s out there, just waiting to trick an unsuspecting teen into bashing his head against the sidewalk as a pretext to shooting him. Or maybe I’m giving them too much credit. Maybe this is just the media equivalent of a BOLO, to remind Zimmerman that no matter where he goes, his whereabouts will be publicized. If they can’t get him on a murder charge, they can at least make sure he sleeps with one eye open. TMZ was even nice enough to post the dashboard-cam photo of Zimmerman’s truck and to note that he was traveling without a disguise. Better not turn the lights out tonight, murderer.

Yep, Lynch Mob!

    Speeding…with a gun in the glove box….
(We still call it that. When was the FIRST time, much less lately, that anyone put gloves in there?”

so, in other words….just like thousands of other Texans…..

Which is supremely ironic when you consider that the main complaint of Zimmerman’s actions (outside of being a racist) is that he was taking the law into his own hands. “the police told him not to follow”- well our justice system told you he’s not guilty, so leave him alone, and stop following him!

On a related note, I want to point out the gall that Obama displayed when he talked of young african Americans being profiled and treated suspiciously. You’re using the NSA to profile the whole freakin country!

See, now THIS is one of the thoughts that occurred to me after hearing about this. Piers Morgan tried to trip up the Buckeye Firearms Federation spokesman about raising money that COULD be used to buy a new gun (or whatever) for his and his family’s security, but with a nationwide network of lynch mobs on the lookout for Zimmerman, the first thing the media does ANY time he pops up on the radar is broadcast exactly where he is, thereby compromising said security.

I’d call it the Streisand Effect, except that we’re talking about violent mobs and not overzealous-but-well-meaning fans.

Either way, count on the media to do exactly what they shouldn’t.

    Tonight’s top story:
George Zimmerman spotted eating in a local restaurant. Tune in to find out why his choice of Waffle House over IHOP means he’s a racist bastard.
