Seriously???

Bacon restaurant forced to close because of the smell of bacon….

A San Francisco bacon restaurant, fittingly called “Bacon Bacon,” was forced to shut its door on Friday after neighbors complained that the “porcine aroma” wafting from the establishment was too strong.

According to the San Francisco Examiner, neighbors also alleged the store was illegally dumping bacon grease into the sewers and the restaurant lacked the proper health permits to operate the business.

The restaurant may be able to secure a permit and resume operations, but a hearing cannot be held until July, so for now the restaurant will remain closed.

They really need to be careful of the precedent they set there; I see it being used to get hippies and homeless off the street using the same reasoning.

What is really sad is how few people even question the need for the city issued permits; why not get the city out of that business and let 3rd party certification take over. Or, I don’t know, let people run their businesses and customers decide if they want to eat there or not?

It probably got closed due to vegan complaints…
