The SIG Pro is really the red-headed stepchild of the P22X Series, it makes a few minor changes to the classic SIG pistol but the big change is a polymer frame. I won’t lie, being a bit of a gun hipster, I have a soft spot for the oddball SIG pistol.
Only shame is it takes unique magazines, rather than eating from P226 mags.
My wife wants one of those, and I must say that the price is right even in this inflated market. It fits her hand well and will be a good CCW pistol for her.
You know I don’t care for Sigs, but if it trips one’s trigger, go for it!
SIGs are kinda like GLOCK or XD pistols in my book. They’re good solid guns, but not anything I have a strong desire to own myself.
Still of all those guns one of the DA/SA SIGs with the decocking lever is neat to me on a mechanical level. And if I had to pick one SIG without any historical significance, I’d pick the SIG Pro in 9×19.
If there was historical SIGnificance (LOL) I’d love an old Euro P220 in 9×19 with the heel mag release because that’s just cool!

I guess I was lucky when I bought mine, It came with 2 magazines.
I’ve really enjoyed shooting it and seriously thinking about moving to it for Concealed Carry.
Its a damn good choice for a carry gun IMHO.
At one point in time, I was a solid Sig guy. I still own a couple. That was before I drank the striker fired Koolaid and got an M&P. The issue where you have to practice to overcome the transition from DA to SA is a thing of the past. Now the Sigs are rarely carried, and are largely range pieces/safe queens.
I agree, I like a consistent trigger pull too. My carry guns are a 1911, a Kahr, and a S&W “Hammerless” J-Frame. I do occasionally carry my Beretta 21A and I DO carry that with the hammer down and the safety off, and with that it is a PAIN shooting it DA/SA, and something I have to practice hard at.
Its much easier, be it a light SA pull, a light Striker-fired pull, or a heavy true double-action pull, if every pull is the same, rather than it being one heavy long pull with a short light second pull behind it. The WORST example is my Radom P64 which is just a NIGHTMARE to shoot from DA to SA, given that the DA pull is around 15-18lbs and the SA is only about 4!!!
