Sure Can’t!

Modern guns can be carried in +1 condition. That’s a fully-loaded magazine with a round in the chamber.

ie: I carry my 1911 with 8 rounds in the magazine, and 1 round in the chamber for a total of 9. I karry my Kahr (heh) with 5 in the mag, and one up the pipe for a total of 6. I generally don’t carry my FAL around, but if I wanted to keep a round in the chamber and 20 in the mag, that’s very possible.

Still for older guns it just doesn’t work. My Ishapore 2A Enfield you can’t seat the detachable magazine when the bolt is closed (and a round in the chamber). Same goes for Mosins:

The max capacity for Mosin Nagant rifles is 5 (five). No more, and less if you feel so inclined.

Full stop, end of transmission.

I think you can load the magazine via stripper clips (or round by round) when it’s attached and then load one in the chamber. I haven’t removed the magazine on mine.

But if I did have 10 in the mag and 1 in the pipe and the rifle cocked I’d use the safety. I haven’t ever used that before, but this time I’d make an exception. 😉

Actually with Mosins you can carry plus one. Load the magazine (5), then put one in the pipe (+1), now push down on the rounds in the magazine as you close the bolt so that the top round doesn’t catch!

None of mine. The magazine bottoms out before the bolt can clear the rim of the first round….maybe its just the amount of slop, and the direction of that slop in our copies…

IS Soviet Rifle. If 5 bullets good enough for MOTHER RUSSIA, is GOOD ENUFF FOR YOU!

Only capitalist running dogs are greedy enough to cheat fellow comrades. If you have one extra bullet, then comrade has only 4!
