Sorry, this isn’t a State’s Rights situation, the 2nd Amendment is part of the US Constitution, so its Federal law. You want to be part of this Union, the right of the people to keep and bear arms can not be infringed.

**UPDATE** Also to be less inflammatory I could turn my analogy over to the 4th Amendment as well. If you live in an area that has high crime, is your 4th Amendment invalid? Of course knowing Micheal Bloomberg’s “Stop and Frisk” rules in New York, and the encroaching bullshit of the boarder patrol miles from the US boarder, I guess “Progressives” think that’s valid too.

I.E. Border Patrol: It is my understanding that they have “Authority” up to 100 miles from any International Border.
Which explains why last Summer I saw Border Patrol cars cruising through my neighborhood. Since I live about a half a mile from Lake Erie, and the Border is in the middle of it about 25-30 miles off shore, I’m sure they were there to stop the Nightly Boat Loads of Illegal Canadians sneaking in to get those Summer Lawn Care Jobs!
